Take Back the Night
This year, WVU will join hundreds of college campuses in holding a Take Back the Night event.
One-on-one web trainings now offered starting Oct. 16
Zane Lacko, the digital communications specialist for the WVU School of Medicine, will hold the first of a series of bi-weekly website trainings on Wednesday, Oct. 16. Based on feedback from leadership and some of the existing web editors, the team is reformulating the previously offered monthly web trainings. The new format will provide one-on-one trainings and hands-on learning via working sessions.

WVCTSI Clinical Trials Center of Excellence opens at WVU
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – To help further cement its status as a top research institution, the West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute has announced the formation of the Clinical Trials Center of Excellence at West Virginia University.
Cancer prevention expert to address cervical cancer in Appalachia, Nov. 1
Cervical cancer rates are higher among women in Appalachia due to a variety of factors ranging from health policy to biology. Next month, epidemiologist and cancer prevention researcher Electra Paskett, Ph.D., will visit the WVU Health Sciences Center to explain how these factors can help identify possible interventions to reverse this trend.
Dr. Rayan Ihle named Fellowship Director for new Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine fellowship
The West Virginia University Health Science Center Charleston Campus would like to congratulate Dr. Rayan Ihle on becoming the Fellowship Director for The Charleston Area Medical Center's (CAMC) Pulmonary Critical Care Medicine fellowship.This three-year program will begin on July 1, 2020 and is approved for three fellows per year.
