Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education to be on-site Sept. 18-20
The Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME), which accredits the majority of the medical and surgical residency and fellowship programs within WVU Medicine, will be on-site conducting a Clinical Learning Environment Review (CLER) site visit Sept. 18-20.

Bill Case to be honored with retirement celebration
Bill Case, long-time health sciences communications director, will retire from the University on Oct. 1, 2018. A gathering honoring Case will be held on Monday, Sept. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Black Bear Burritos Suncrest location.

Pape to lead communications efforts for WVU health promotion and wellness programs
Olivia Pape was recently selected to serve as communication specialist for West Virginia University’s health promotion and wellness programs, a system-wide initiative to coordinate and improve efforts in the areas of health and wellness.
Gillison to present Annual DeLynn Lecture
The WVU Cancer Institute will hold its Annual DeLynn Lecture with Maura L. Gillison, MD, PhD, who will lecture on HPV and the Host Genome, at 4 pm on Tuesday, Sept. 4, in the WVU Health Sciences Center's Fukushima Auditorium (room 1901). A Q&A session will follow the lecture. The event is free and open to the public. For those who cannot attend, the event also will be webcast.
Immigration information session to be held at the Health Sciences Campus

WVU Festival of Ideas presents 'Suicide Prevention Across the Lifespan' with Dr. John Campo
This season’s Festival of Ideas at West Virginia University will begin on Sept.11 at 4 p.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium at Health Sciences. The series addresses topics at the forefront of the American conversation—from suicide prevention and genetically engineered food to civic engagement and why we should resist hate with free speech instead of censorship.
