SoP students collect empty Coca-Cola products to help WVU Medicine Children's
The Industry Pharmacist Organization (IPhO) chapter at WVU started with one can and built a mountain. They've been collecting the empty Coca-Cola cans and bottles to raise money for WVU Medicine Children's. For each can or bottle donated, Coca-Cola is donating $5! The drive will continue until 3 p.m. today. Thanks to everyone at the Health Sciences Center for participating. #Let'sGo!

Expanded food options available at The Market at Health Sciences during renovations
Food options at the Health Sciences Center will expand as renovations continue. A buffet will be offered beginning the week of Oct. 8 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in The Market location and will available to all, including students with meal plans. The menu will be updated daily.
Saturday's Homecoming football game will affect patient, visitor, employee parking on campus
It's Homecoming as No. 8 WVU hosts Big 12 foe Kansas on Saturday, Oct. 6, at Milan Puskar Stadium. Kickoff is set for noon. It's also a "Gold Rush" game and fans are asked to dress in gold.
WVU Cancer Institute’s Second Annual Lung Cancer Conference: Catalyzing Change to Address Lung Cancer
The free event is designed to heighten awareness about the impact of lung cancer across West Virginia. The conference will engage health care providers, health care delivery systems, community-based organizations, payers, advocates, public health educators, and policymakers to improve lung cancer screening, early detection, treatment, and survivorship.

Regional nurses organization offers free continuing education program on Thursday
The North Central West Virginia Chapter of the Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association will host a free continuing education program from 5:30-7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11. The event will take place at Atria's at the Holiday Inn, located along Pineview Drive in Morgantown.
