Gee addresses mental health challenges facing campus communities as WVU’s Board of Governors resumes in-person meetings

Members of the West Virginia University Board of Governors met in person at the Erickson Alumni Center for the first time since the pandemic began more than a year ago. A virtual meeting option was available for those unable to be in Morgantown. President Gordon Gee took the opportunity to talk about the challenges the pandemic created and amplified, most critically, mental health.

WVU to adopt test optional admissions due to impacts of COVID-19

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the ability of many college-bound high school students to take either the ACT or the SAT, West Virginia University has joined a growing list of institutions extending a relaxation of test score requirements in its admission policies.
