WVU Medicine Children’s Names Surgeon-in-Chief

Federico G. Seifarth, MD, FAAP, FACS, will fill a crucial role for children in the region as the new surgeon-in-chief at WVU Medicine Children’s. He also will serve as associate professor and chief for the Division of Pediatric Surgery in the WVU Department of Surgery.

Ruby Incident Command Center has re-opened

The Ruby Incident Command Center has re-opened, starting today (Monday, July 13), as a response to the increase in community COVID-19 spread across Monongalia County, increased numbers of hospital employees unavailable due to quarantine, and the pending return of WVU students.

More than 150 volunteers from throughout West Virginia have now completed Contact Tracing and Pandemic Response, a training developed by the West Virginia University School of Public Health and the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources Bureau for Public Health in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
