Under the Dome: February 24, 2021 Edition
Under the Dome delivers a review of the issues being considered by the 85th West Virginia Legislature. It provides information on matters that affect WVU and higher education. This edition provides an update on the second week of the legislative session, Senate Finance budget hearing, remote worker legislation and other issues, including several high-profile bills introduced during the first weeks of the session.

Medicine Grand Rounds hosts Dr. Al-Jaroushi

Afternoon of Science hosts Dr. Blank, Dr. Sharma and Dr. Olfert

Employees can be part of new Children’s Hospital through WVU Medicine CARES
Every day, the new nine-story, 150-bed WVU Medicine Children’s Hospital is getting closer to completion, but the $60 million project can always use some more help. WVU Medicine employees can help make the finishing touches of this long-awaited dream become a reality for West Virginia and its families. WVU Medicine CARES is an opportunity for the WVU Medicine family to select and contribute to the WVU Medicine Children’s area of their choice. Providers and staff are asked to consider making a gift to one or more of these areas of need: Birthing Center, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Pediatrics, Surgical Services, Medical Office Building, General Support. Those who contribute $50 or more will have their name permanently displayed in the new hospital. See image below.
Virtual 'March Into Mindfulness' series scheduled to begin March 1
March into Mindfulness to gain valuable skills in becoming a more integrated human while understanding how to navigate the current emotions of the pandemic with more strength and calmness. This free virtual series will take place from noon to 1 p.m. every Monday during the month of March.

WVU Physical Therapy to host virtual alumni celebration
Alumni and friends of the WVU Department of Physical Therapy are inivted to a virtual celebration on Friday, Feb. 26 from 8 - 9:30 p.m. EST. The event is free and open to all alumni and their families.
