PREP Program (Pipeline Rural Education Program) - new program!
Introducing WVU undergraduate students to pathways into the rural healthcare professions. All rising undergraduate juniors and seniors in the listed majors are invited to apply. $500 participation award at the completion of the program. There are ten stops available. Participants will be chosen in May 2021. All program activities will begin in Fall 2021.
Making miracles happen: WVU Medicine Children’s Mediathon raises $684,239
The response the WVU Medicine Children’s Mediathon, held March 3, was significant. A total of $684,239 was raised through 357 gifts. Thank you to everyone who contributed. Your gift will help patients and families in need of life-changing care.

Healthcare sex discrimination protections for the LGBTQ community may be expanded under the Biden Administration, including safeguards against verbal abuse, physical abuse and the denial of bedside care, according to West Virginia University College of Law experts.

Huggins Fish Fry Virtual Event
The 2021 Bob Huggins Fish Fry will be held virtually this year from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26, and broadcast live from Triple S Harley Davidson in Morgantown. The virtual event includes special presentations, auctions, and exclusive commentary. The star-studded special guest lineup includes founder and CEO of Barstool Sports Dave Portnoy, ESPN analyst Fran Fraschilla, WVU great Da’Sean Butler, and others to be announced.
