This week, Layne Hitchcock discusses Koru Mindfulness, a recurring four-week class focusing on the skill of mindfulness. Benefits of mindfulness practice can include reduced anxiety, better ability to respond to and manage stress, and improved sleep.

Study seeks students who want to exercise more
A new study at WVU Health Sciences is seeking students to participate in a new exercise study. Any WVU student who wants to start exercising regularly is eligible to sign up for eight weeks of free exercise training.

Call for Abstracts -- Charlotte Nath Family Medicine Research Symposium
The WVU Department of Family Medicine announces the first Charlotte Nath Family Medicine Research Day on September 30, 2021, to be held in conjunction with the 46th Annual Hal Wanger Family Medicine Conference September 30 - October 1, 2021 at the Morgantown Marriot Waterfront Place. Students, residents, and faculty members are encouraged to submit their completed and in-progress research and quality improvement project abstracts for oral or poster presentation to Dr. Amie M.
