WVU School of Nursing students attend National Student Nurses Convention
Five West Virginia University School of Nursing students from the Morgantown and Keyser campuses recently attended the 70th Anniversary Convention of the National Student Nurses Association. Hosted in Salt Lake City, Utah, the convention was held April 6-10 with a theme of “Here’s to the Heroes.”

Think Kids and the West Virginia Prevention Research Center receive grant from Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) has awarded a new two-year grant to support a research collaboration between Think Kids and the West Virginia Prevention Research Center to assess how West Virginia compiles and reports health surveillance data in order to build a more inclusive surveillance system.
WVU eases mask requirements on PRT, university buses
Passengers are no longer required to wear masks while riding on West Virginia University’s Public Rapid Transit or buses across the WVU System, beginning today (April 20) and pending any additional guidance after a federal court ruling this week. Masks are required for employees, patients and visitors in designated areas of the WVU Health Sciences Center where patient care services are provided.

This year, the 2022 WVU Foundation Awards for Outstanding Teaching honors three faculty members, including Mark Paternostro, professor, teaching scientist and associate chair for education in the School of Medicine’s Department of Physiology and Pharmacology.
