Under the Dome: March 8, 2022 Edition
Under the Dome delivers a review of issues being considered by the West Virginia Legislature. It provides information on matters that affect WVU and higher education, as well as other hot topics being addressed. This edition includes an update on many bills and activities happening in Charleston, as the Legislature enters the final week of its 60-day regular session.
Photography at HSC Studio resumes March 24
Beginning Thursday, March 24, photographers will be available at the Health Sciences Center Studio on Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Spring Faculty Meeting
The School of Medicine spring faculty meeting will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 from 12 p.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m. via Zoom meeting. Your attendance is important as the School of Medicine faculty will approve the Class of 2022 graduates of the M.D. and Professional Programs.
Faculty: Deadline extension to sign up for West Virginia State Medical Association membership
Due to a recent change in membership and pricing structure, the School of Medicine now requires that any faculty member interested in keeping their West Virginia State Medical Association dues active through the University’s account must indicate so in an annual online form.

WVU to host additional pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics at the Mountainlair
In response to positive turnout at the recent Mountainlair clinic, West Virginia University will host additional pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinics on the Downtown campus in partnership with the Monongalia County Health Department. The pop-up clinics will take place in the Mountainlair’s Mountaineer Room on Wednesday, March 9 and Wednesday, March 16 from 1-3 p.m.
Mindfulness team to offer new, in-person series starting March 28
Do you already have a mindfulness practice? Would you like to expand your knowledge? In Mindful Steps Part 2, participants will delve deeper with practices related to interoception, compassion, inner yoga, adaptability, gratitude, and resilience.

The WVU School of Medicine Committee for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion invites all members of the Health Sciences community to attend “Inclusive Language Training for Healthcare Environments.” The free training opportunity will be offered via Zoom on Tuesday, April 12, at 4 p.m.
Art Museum of WVU invites applications for inaugural Faculty Fellowship Award
All full-time faculty on the Morgantown campus are eligible to apply for The Art Museum of WVU Fellowship program, an opportunity for faculty and instructors from across disciplines to enhance their teaching and scholarship by engaging with the Art Museum’s permanent collection of more than 4,000 objects.
