WVU School of Nursing to host PBS documentary screening of “Picture Proof,” highlighting the impact of addiction
The WVU School of Nursing will host a free screening of the PBS documentary “Picture Proof” on Monday, Dec. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium at the WVU Health Sciences Center. The documentary examines the intergenerational impact of addiction by chronicling the life of a woman from southern West Virginia who is struggling to live a life of sobriety.

Southwestern Public Health is drawing inspiration from Iceland in its efforts to prevent youth substance use. Álfgeir Kristjánsson is an Associate Professor at West Virginia University School of Public Health who has experience with the Icelandic Prevention Model, and he told London Morning it's a good start.
