WVU undergraduate researchers showcase work for lawmakers in Charleston

Undergraduate researchers from West Virginia University showcased their work at the State Capitol in Charleston Friday (Feb. 18), giving lawmakers a glimpse of the work they do in disease-carrying insects, the weather’s effect on renewable energy resources and the economic potential of petunias—just a few of the topics addressed by 49 presenters from WVU’s Morgantown and Beckley campuses.

Registration open for ‘A Guide to Human Subject Research at WVU’

Representatives from the Office of Human Research Protections, who work closely with the Institutional Review Board, will provide an overview about research at WVU and discuss the IRB submission process during “A Guide to Human Subject Research at WVU” March 5 at 11 a.m. on Zoom.

WVU to ease mask policy in some indoor spaces, mask requirements for classrooms, labs will continue

As infection and hospitalization rates from COVID-19 decrease, West Virginia University will lift mask requirements for individuals in indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately. However, the University will continue to require masks in all classrooms, labs or any WVU System facility or building being used as a classroom. Masks will continue to be required for all persons in all indoor locations of the Health Sciences Campuses.
