A new grant awarded to the West Virginia University School of Medicine from the National Eye Institute will provide funding for vision researchers to develop novel therapies for the blinding retinal disease known as retinitis pigmentosa.
Lei appointed to American Association for Cancer Research science policy and government affairs committee
Dr. Ming Lei, a leading expert in biomedical research and policy, has been invited to serve as a member of the science policy and government affairs committee for the American Association for Cancer Research. The appointment, announced by AACR president-elect Dr. Lillian L. Siu, begins immediately and extends through April 2028.
Chief medical officer for CDC’s National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey Health Sciences seminar postponed
The Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s chief medical officer for the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey will host a seminar titled, “NHANES: The Experience and the Impact,” at the WVU Health Sciences Center on Wednesday, Feb. 5 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Room G119A and B.
