Join us for the “Build the Bounce” charity kickball tournament
The WVU School of Public Health is partnering with the Monongalia County Child Advocacy Center on their new “Build the Bounce” campaign to create a school-wide kickball tournament to be held on April 12, 2025 to raise money and create awareness for Child Abuse Prevention Month in April.

Growing up, Selasi Asamoah saw how much joy nursing brought her mom Angela, so she wanted to follow in her footsteps. “I saw nursing as such a rewarding career,” said Asamoah, of Charles Town. “Ever since I can remember, I wanted to be a nurse.”

The WVU School of Nursing is hosting a spring 2025 Virtual Open House for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program Wednesday, March 12 at 6 p.m. EST. This event will feature information for our nationally ranked BSN program, which is offered on the Morgantown, Beckley, and Keyser campuses.
Registration deadline extended for annual QI Fair
The registration deadline for the West Virginia Healthcare Safety, Quality and Experience Improvement Research Day, also known as the QI Fair, has been extended. Guests can continue to register through the day of the event, Friday, Feb. 28.

WVU School of Nursing alumna inducted into WVU Academy of Distinguished Alumni
During a special Feb. 7 ceremony, WVU School of Nursing alumna Dr. Laura J. Wood was inducted into the WVU Academy of Distinguished Alumni. Wood, who received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1977, was recognized at the Erickson Alumni Center alongside four other honorees, Linda Arnold, Luke Frazier, Sharon Burmeister Lord and Diana Murphy.
