As the country continues to be at odds over solutions to the mass shooting/gun control issues plaguing the nation, two professors at West Virginia University, including School of Public Health professor, Keith Zullig, are sharing their expert pitches on behavioral pathways of school shooters and the likely long-term effects of such shootings on young people.

Protected Health Information Privacy Policy out for public comment through June 30
A proposed new policy to ensure the privacy of Protected Health Information (PHI) at the University is now posted for public comment. Faculty, staff and students may send comments to Information Technology Services at InfoSec@mail.wvu.edu before midnight Thursday, June 30.

Public Health faculty member earns fellowship role to improve long-term care for West Virginia cancer survivors
West Virginia University School of Public Health Research Assistant Professor Nicole Stout, DPT, FAPTA has been named a Bridge Faculty Fellow for 2022, bringing her one step closer to improving long-term care and support for West Virginia’s cancer survivors.
School of Public Health welcomes new communications specialist
On May 18, the School of Public Health and University Relations-Health Sciences welcomed their newest employee, Kayla Gagnon. Kayla joins the team as a communications specialist, serving as lead multimedia producer and social media coordinator, as well as a collaborator across the school for marketing and news products and other communication materials as needed.

Steam outage planned for Health Sciences Campus
The Facilities Management team is working with WVU’s steam provider on a planned steam outage for the Evansdale campus May 21-28 and June 3-7. An additional outage will affect the Health Sciences campus on June 3.
June presentations set for oral healthcare professionals
Dr. Peter Ngan and Dr. Matthew Harper will represent WVU School of Dentistry at upcoming events. The school will host Dr. Aditya Tadinada for the Mesaros Symposium.
