National partnership uses integrative health approach to help people stop smoking
Contributing to more than 480,000 deaths annually in the United States, smoking remains a problem nationwide, especially in the state of West Virginia. A West Virginia University professor is part of a team that is leading an effort to help adults quit smoking.
Spend guidelines for FY23 made available, effective Aug. 1
The FY23 spend guidelines will be effective Aug. 1, 2022. With the exception of a few changes, the guidelines remain the same as the previous year.
Network maintenance scheduled Sunday, July 31
HSC Information Technology Services will complete maintenance on the HSC network on Sunday, July 31, between 6:30-6:45 a.m. During the maintenance window, network equipment supporting HSC’s connection to the WVU Medicine network will be replaced, causing this brief outage.
Shared Services Center monthly group meeting to be held July 27

Mindfulness Coach workshop accepting applications
The West Virginia University Office of Health Affairs Mindfulness-Bases Resilience Training program is now accepting applications for a Mindfulness Coach training and workshop. This intensive training is designed for frontline health care workers and law enforcement personnel looking to gain the skills necessary to build a sustainable mindfulness training infrastructure within West Virginia.
