Enrollment

All international students interested in enrolling in one of our academic programs should visit the website for each school of our five schools: the School of Dentistry, the School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Pharmacy, and the School of Public Health.

These schools maintain their own admission requirements and application processes.

International students on a government-sponsored scholarship must contact the Global Engagement Office to ensure that all academic requirements are met to secure placement in an academic program at WVU Health Sciences.

In-Bound VSLO Electives

Final-year medical students at international schools may be eligible to complete a clinical elective at the WVU School of Medicine.

Currently, all clinical elective applications are processed through the Association of American Medical College’s Visiting Student Learning Opportunities system

Health Sciences is a member of VSLO and is accepting applications from visiting international students now. For more information, please contact their office.

Tropical Medicine Course

The Global Health Program offers a fully accredited Clinical Tropical Medicine and Traveler's Health Course every summer to health care professionals throughout the United States and abroad.

All who successfully complete this course are then eligible to sit for a certifying exam conducted by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene.
