Despite West Virginia having about 21% of its population over 65, there are only about 10 to 15 doctors who specialize in geriatric care, according to Dr. Osvaldo Navia, Section Chief of Geriatric, Palliative Medicine & Hospice and Grace Kinney Mead Chair of Geriatrics at West Virginia University. Navia is also head of the Memory Clinic at WVU Medicine Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute.

Miles for Migraine set for Oct. 14
Miles for Migraine will host its fourth annual 5K run and two-mile walk to benefit the WVU Headache Center at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park in Morgantown. There is also a virtual event, in which participants can walk/run at their own pace and on their own schedule. WVU Medicine is a sponsor.
