WVU Nursing students, faculty participate at 2024 Women's Leadership Summit

BECKLEY, W. Va. — Two WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus students recently joined the 2024 Women's Leadership Summit alongside Campus Chair Hillary Parcell.

Madison Perdue and Destiny Redden attended the event, held March 19-20 at the Greenbrier Resort in White Sulphur Springs. This year's event featured expert speakers, interactive workshops, networking opportunities and a philanthropy project. Attendees were able to network with fellow women leaders and hear from a lineup of exceptional speakers.

"Attending the WV Chamber of Commerce Women's Leadership Summit at the Greenbrier was a transformative experience,” Perdue said. “Witnessing women in leadership roles, sharing insights, and driving change was incredibly inspiring. The atmosphere of empowerment and support was palpable, reminding me of the limitless potential when women are given the opportunity to lead. I believe events like these are catalysts for progress and equality.”

The West Virginia Chamber of Commerce sponsored registration for WVU Nursing attendees.
