IPE Student Award deadline extended to March 13, 2026
Students are encouraged to apply for the WVU Health Sciences Office of Interprofessional Education Student Award. All students who participate in HSC IPE activities are eligible and self-nominations are accepted. The deadline to apply has been extended to March 13, 2026.
Student spotlight: Accelerated Bachelor’s to Master of Health Administration student Tommy Drennan
As someone who is driven by a desire to make a lasting impact on public health, Tommy Drennan, a junior in the accelerated bachelor’s to master of health administration program at the WVU School of Public Health, is using his experiences both in the public health field and as a WVU men’s basketball student manager to help him prepare for a career in hospital leadership.
Hours adjustment to the Health Sciences parking shuttle
Based on rider feedback, the afternoon hours for the shuttle service between the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center and the WVU Innovation Corporation will shift to 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. starting on Monday, March 9.
Families invited to Easter egg hunt
Parents in Medicine, in collaboration with Operation Blue Sky, will host an Easter egg hunt on April 4 at 1 p.m. at the Health Sciences Center Memorial Garden. Families can participate in the event for a $10 donation, which includes access to a variety of activities. Proceeds will go to benefit local WV families and children.

Health Sciences community members, including students, are invited to hear from leaders during the State of Health Sciences address, Tuesday, April 7, at 4 p.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium.
Make a Wish, Make an Impact in Health Sciences event to be held March 31
The West Virginia University Health Sciences Center community is invited to attend Make a WISH, Make an Impact in Health Sciences, a signature event hosted by Working for Impact in Science and Health (WISH) on March 31 from 3-5:30 p.m., in the HSC Pylons.
