WVU research shows mindfulness may improve substance use treatment
Patients receiving medication for opioid use disorder are more likely to complete their treatment programs and have a lower risk of relapse if they participate in mindfulness training, according to a West Virginia University study.

Faith Community Health, a new student organization at WVU Tech led by WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus students, hosted a free community health fair, offering BMI screenings, glucose checks, hemoglobin A1C checks, blood pressure screenings, as well as mental health related information.

The WVU School of Pharmacy DEI Committee has initiated a Cultural Spotlight series to acknowledge and celebrate different cultures that comprise the WVU and Health Sciences communities.
