Reach Out & Read 5K brings health professions together
On April 25, WVU School of Pharmacy Kappa Psi Beta Eta hosted the annual Reach Out & Read 5K at the WVU Rec Center, bringing together 64 participants in support of early literacy.
Final Zoom Phone training set for May 20
The University’s two-year project to move from outdated Cisco hardware to Zoom Phone is in the final stretch. To support Health Sciences Center employees, Information Technology Services has coordinated virtual training sessions and strongly encourages participation. The last training will be offered Wednesday, May 20 at 10 a.m.
Renovated clinics to open at HSC in May and June
Following the completion of Phase I of our extensive renovation and expansion project, the Dr. Peter Ngan Orthodontic Clinic, Pediatric Dentistry Clinic, Dental Innovation Center and Dental Group Practice are scheduled for phased opening at the Health Sciences Center beginning at the end of May.
Work in Pylons Lobby restricts access to Okey Patteson on May 6
Scaffolding will be constructed in the Pylons Lobby for work to the wall over the main entrance to the Okey Patteson auditorium and William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences on Wednesday, May 6.

2026 West Virginia SEED Symposium accepting abstracts until May 31
The 2026 West Virginia SEED Symposium: Students as Emerging Educators Developing their Identities will be held Monday, June 22, 2026 at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center in Morgantown.
Marking year one: Teaching Scholars continue their journey
The WVU Health Sciences Center is pleased to recognize the completion of the first year of the Longitudinal Teaching Scholars Program for the 2025–2027 cohort. This year’s cohort included 25 participants from across the health professions; all committed to strengthening their skills as educators.
