WVU Health Sciences partnership with First Presbyterian aims to help the community through outreach and screenings
The WVU School of Nursing, the WVU School of Pharmacy, the WVU School of Medicine, and First Presbyterian Church have collaborated to provide clinical service as an outreach program for people experiencing homelessness and poverty in the Morgantown area. Some of the services include checking vital signs, blood glucose screenings, glaucoma screenings, health education and pharmaceutical education.
WVU School of Nursing hosts Jenab Lectureship, celebrating student awards and Sigma inductees
The WVU School of Nursing hosted the Lorita D. Jenab Lectureship on April 24, welcoming keynote speaker Dr. Cynthia Persily. The event also celebrated student awards for 2025 and the newest inductees of the Alpha Rho Chapter of the Sigma International Honor Society.

The WVU School of Nursing recently hosted a 2025 Scholarship Luncheon at the Erickson Alumni Center, inviting student scholarship recipients and donors to spend time with one another during an afternoon meal and presentation.
WVU School of Nursing to offer Expedited Summer Pathway, allowing BSN students to graduate early
The WVU School of Nursing will soon offer an Expedited Summer Pathway to Morgantown students accepted into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. By completing courses for two summer semesters, the expedited pathway will allow students to graduate nine months early.
WVU family nurse practitioner graduates celebrate 96% first-time pass rate
For the 2024 Family Nurse Practitioner Certification examinations, WVU School of Nursing graduates have received an overall 96% first-time pass rate. These graduates include the Master of Science in Nursing – FNP program, as well as the FNP Post-Graduate Certificate program.
