Construction on HSC-South third floor corridor to begin Oct. 25
Starting Tuesday, Oct. 25, HSC Facilities Management will close a portion of the HSC-South third floor corridor near the STEPS simulation center entrance. This work is being done to replace the ceiling and facilitate cosmetic upgrades to the corridor
Ph.D. student receives SREB Doctoral Scholars fellowship

Public health students recognized at Van Liere and WV IDeA Research Conference
Three students from the WVU School of Public Health, undergraduate student Maya Carter and graduate students Devon Collins and Brianne Nichols, showcased their research during the 2024 Van Liere and WV IDeA Research Conference. Carter and Nichols both received Outstanding Poster Awards.
New course for Spring 2025: Psychosocial Aspects of Disease Management (SBHS 693)
A new special topics course, Psychosocial Aspects of Disease Management (SBHS 693), will be offered for the Spring 2025 semester. The course will be held in person on Thursdays from 2-4:50 p.m.

Team-building tailgate kicks off interprofessional opportunities for WVU Health Sciences students
Students at West Virginia University kicked off their team-based approach to learning with a tailgate at the WVU Athletics Caperton Indoor Facility on Monday, Sept. 30.
WVU healthcare providers invited to apply for tobacco treatment training scholarship
The West Virginia University School of Dentistry, in cooperation with the WVU Health Sciences Office of Continuing Education, is pleased to offer 17 scholarships for members of the WVU healthcare community to complete its Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program (CTTTP). The next training course will be available online January 13, 2025, through March 1, 2025.
