Annual, mandatory HSC employee cybersecurity training will now be done in InfoSec IQ system
As announced on Oct. 1 via Mountaineer E-news, all employees on all WVU campuses are now required to complete annual cybersecurity awareness training. This will begin Wednesday, Oct. 2. Employees with an @hsc.wvu.edu email account will no longer complete this training in SOLE and will be transitioned to Infosec IQ.
War legacies advocate to deliver WVU Global Health Week keynote address
The West Virginia University School of Medicine Global Health Program will welcome Sera Koulabdara to campus as part of Global Health Week, Oct. 7-10. Her keynote address, “Legacies of War: History, Healing and Hope,” is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, from noon to 1 p.m. in Health Sciences Center North room 1909 and via Zoom.
Internet connectivity will be unavailable in parts of HSC Oct. 2
Wired and wireless internet connectivity will be unavailable from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 for parts of the third floor north and south at the WVU Health Sciences Center.
Attend 2024 Gandhi-King Lecture on International Relations and Peace Studies
The Eberly College of Arts and Sciences will host Narinder Kapur as he presents “Martin Luther King and Mahatma Gandhi: Perspectives from Psychological Science, Justice, and Wellbeing” at 4 p.m. Oct. 2 in the Mountainlair Gluck Theater or on Zoom.

Wilderness Medicine organization to offer first aid workshop

Wilmoth to lead marketing and communications for WVU School of Dentistry
Jessica Wilmoth was named director of marketing and communications for the WVU School of Dentistry and fills the position previously held by Sunshine Wiles. She will begin her new role on Monday, Oct. 7.

West Virginia University Health Sciences is recognizing ten individuals and one team with Chancellor’s Awards, as well as four individuals with a WISH (Women in Science & Health) Awards, for their significant contributions to its mission. A ceremony to honor the 2024 award winners will be held Thursday, Sept. 19 at 4 p.m. in Pylons Commons.
