David H. Epstein, M.D., F.A.C.R. was presented with the Gold Medal Award on Saturday, August 6 at the Florida Radiological Society’s Annual Meeting. Dr. Epstein was recognized for outstanding meritorious achievements that have contributed significantly to the practice of radiology in Florida.

When Donald Rasmussen, M.D., who was described by the New York Times as a “crusader for coal miners’ health,” passed away in July 2015, the many patients who sought him out for diagnosis and treatment of black lung disease in southern West Virginia lost their champion. As of yesterday (July 25), three WVU Medicine Occupational Medicine specialists are beginning to pick up where he left off by seeing patients at the Cabin Creek Health Center in Dawes.
