Some WVU Login requirements changing Nov. 13; System will be down 7 a.m. to noon
To better protect University data and systems, Information Technology Services is adding new features to the WVU Login system, including a prohibition on re-using the same password within one calendar year. Login services will be unavailable from 7 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 13 while we perform the maintenance required to add this and other enhancements. This means you will not be able to claim accounts or reset passwords during this time.
WellBeing Workshop: Retirement & Estate Planning
The Employee WellBeing Team will offer a financial literacy workshop presented by retired WVU Accounting Professor, Dr. Adolph Neidermeyer, who taught tax accounting and personal financial planning courses during his tenure at WVU. The workshop will focus on retirement and estate planning.
CME course for advanced care and treatment in epilepsy for clinicians
Vijayalakshmi Rajasekaran, M.D., assistant professor in WVU's Department of Neurology will conduct a training course in "Advanced Care and Treatment for Epilepsy in Clinicians." Offered in partnership with the Epilepsy Foundation and the Office of Continuing Medical Education, the course will be held on Tues., Nov. 15 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Courtyard by Marriot, Morgantown. Kevin Mullen, M.D., named new Section Chief of Digestive Diseases
Kevin Mullen, M.D., has joined WVU Medicine as Section Chief of Digestive Diseases. Dr. Mullen obtained his medical degree from the University College of Dublin's School of Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. He completed his residency in internal medicine at McMaster University in Ontario, Canada.
Former WVU neurosurgeon Dr. Robert 'Bob' Nugent remembered for his devotion to patients and students
G. Robert “Bob” Nugent, M.D., who joined the faculty of the WVU School of Medicine in 1961, died Oct. 31 at his home in Morgantown.

State public health commissioner and health officer Rahul Gupta to speak at Behavioral Health Grand Rounds
West Virginia Commissioner of the Department of Health and Human Resources, Bureau for Public Health, and State Health Officer, Rahul Gupta, MD, MPH, FACP, will present at the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry's Grand Rounds on November 2 at 1:00 p.m. in HSC classroom 2118. He will be speaking about the state of mental health in West Virginia. CME and CEU's provided.
WVU’s Women on Wellness retreat set for Nov. 12 in Greenbrier County
The annual Greenbrier County Women on Wellness (WOW) retreat, in partnership with The Greenbrier WOW Community Partnership planning committee and the National Center of Excellence in Women’s Health at West Virginia University (CoE), will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Rainelle Elementary School.
WVU recruiting six new quantitative neuroscientists
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – WVU’s Blanchette Rockefeller Neurosciences Institute (BRNI) has launched a national search for six scientists to form the backbone of a new push into quantitative neuroscience – an interdisciplinary approach to studying how the nervous system processes information within the human brain.
