WVU Festival of Ideas to host panel of six opioid crisis experts
Six experts on the state’s opioid crisis will take part in a panel discussion Feb. 20 in the Charleston Civic Center Little Theater as part of West Virginia University’s Festival of Ideas. “Understanding the Opioid Epidemic” starts at 7:30 p.m., and is co-sponsored by The Charleston Gazette-Mail.

Bodies of Truth exhibit at HSC part of WVU Campus Wide Art Crawl
Bodies of Truth: An Artist's Creative Exploration through Cancer by Lacie Wallace will be the featured exhibit at the Health Sciences campus during the WVU Campus Wide Art Crawl on Feb. 15 from 4 to 6 p.m. Through her art, Wallace shares self-portraits and other artwork she has painted throughout her experience in and out of hospitals as a patient with cancer. Her bright and intimate portraits are coupled with narratives written by her as well as those around her who have been moved by her courage and stamina including members of her healthcare team and others. WVU Medicine names chief medical information officer
David Rich, MD, has joined WVU Medicine as its chief medical information officer. He will oversee the clinical information systems for all hospitals and clinics that are part of the West Virginia University Health System.
John Campo, M.D., and Rhonda Campo, M.B.A., join WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute
WVU Medicine announced today that John V. Campo, M.D., a nationally recognized child and adolescent psychiatrist, and Rhonda S. Campo, M.B.A., a seasoned healthcare and biotech professional, will join the WVU Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI) this spring.

WVU’s Brumage named new director of state Office of Drug Control Policy
