WVU Nursing’s Faith Community Nurse Training expands beyond state borders
During COVID, many of the local faith community nursing training programs shut down. Tina LeFaive came across Dr. Angel Smothers, Associate Dean for Community Engagement for WVU’s School of Nursing. Together, they assembled a program to fit the Springfield project’s needs. There are a variety of people involved in FCN programs, including nurses, pastors and community members. The course being online made it easily available for those interested.

Beckley nursing faculty leads presentation during WVU Tech Faculty/Staff Institute

To assist WVU School of Nursing students with the transition into the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program, the SOAR Peer Coaching Program aims to cultivate a sense of belonging and to build resiliency, self-compassion and stress reduction skills.
Blood Drive planned for Sept. 7 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital
