WVU Cancer Institute researcher presents work in breast cancer at 2019 AACR conference
Linda Vona-Davis, PhD; Department of Surgery, presented her research at the 2019 AACR-San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium on December 12. Her poster was visited by breast cancer survivor and research advocate Susan Siegel standing to her right. Cancer researchers are working for Susan and others battling breast cancer. Lane closures to occur on Beechurst Ave. Dec. 21-29
As part of the ongoing Reynolds Hall construction efforts, crews will be removing the footbridge that previously connected Stansbury Hall to the Beechurst PRT station. To support this work, Beechurst Avenue will experience partial or complete traffic lane closures most days between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. beginning Saturday, Dec. 21, through Sunday, Dec. 29.

WVU Charleston’s Dr. Anjlee Patel achieves board certification in adult congenital heart disease
Anjlee Patel, MD MBA, assistant professor of pediatrics at the WVU School of Medicine Charleston Campus has achieved her board certification in adult congenital heart disease. This accomplishment adds to Dr. Patel’s current board certifications in pediatrics, pediatric cardiology and internal medicine.
Office of Interprofessional Education seeking applications for inaugural awards
The Office of Interprofessional Education will kick off an award program for faculty/staff and students in 2020. Faculty, staff and students from the Health Sciences campus are welcome to attend the inaugural awards luncheon April 17, the final day of Interprofessional Education Week.
