WVCTSI highlighting HIV in Rural America with virtual event
The West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI) will host a special virtual event titled “HIV in Rural America” on March 18.
WVU, CDC report week 3 results for 'MASCUP!'
The West Virginia University School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported a nearly three percent weekly increase in the number of people who wore masks during the third week of 'MASCUP!', an ongoing mask observation study.

PREP Program (Pipeline Rural Education Program) - new program!
Introducing WVU undergraduate students to pathways into the rural healthcare professions. All rising undergraduate juniors and seniors in the listed majors are invited to apply. $500 participation award at the completion of the program. There are ten stops available. Participants will be chosen in May 2021. All program activities will begin in Fall 2021.
WVU, CDC report results for ‘MASCUP!’, week 2
The West Virginia University School of Public Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention report week two results for 'MASCUP!', an eight-week mask observation study. The purpose of the study is to estimate the percentage of people within the WVU community wearing masks correctly and, ultimately, increase the proportion of people who use masks correctly.
