TSA extends mask requirement for public transportation, including PRT and buses
To continue protecting passengers during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Transportation Security Administration has extended its face mask requirement on all public transportation through April 18. This requirement extends to all public transportation in Morgantown, including the WVU PRT and WVU buses.
WVU Research Office undergoing plan to advance electronic research portal
The WVU Research Office has a plan to advance the University’s electronic research portal. The portal is the interface between faculty and a variety of research administration offices and professionals who aim to improve the entire research lifecycle. It is used by researchers to start and manage their projects.
Mindfulness team returning to HSC with new, in-person series
Participants will expand their knowledge of mindful practices as they delve deeper with practices related to interoception, compassion, inner yoga, adaptability, gratitude and resilience in Mindful Steps Part 2.

WVU School of Nursing to host Family Feud FUNdraiser to benefit homeless outreach efforts
West Virginia University School of Nursing professors will face off—Family Feud style—by answering questions from the popular television show, as well as School of Nursing-related questions on Thursday, April 7 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the Okey Patteson Auditorium in the Health Sciences Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and admission is $5, which can be paid in cash or via Venmo at the door. The event is open to the Health Sciences community and beyond.

MAP, Banner and other important WVU systems will be unavailable Wednesday
Faculty, staff and students on all campuses may be unable to log into important WVU services such as MAP and Banner/STAR from 5 p.m. to midnight Wednesday, March 16, during critical server updates. The ability to log in using WVU credentials could be briefly interrupted as well, but any outages that might occur should be resolved quickly.
Wound simulation teaches Keyser Campus nursing students how to identify and treat burns
Senior nursing students on the Keyser Campus recently participated in a classroom burn wound simulation for their NSG 460 critical care course.
WVU Health System mask requirement updates
Beginning Tuesday, March 15, WVU Health System will relax its masking requirement for vaccinated employees in non-patient and non-public areas. This applies only to fully vaccinated employees. If you have received an exemption from getting the COVID vaccine, you must wear an N95 respirator per the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services regulations. Visitors will continue to be required to wear masks.
Tobacco Treatment Training Program accepting scholarship applications, registration
West Virginia University School of Dentistry, in cooperation with the Office of Interprofessional Education and Office of Continuing Education, will present a certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program opportunity May 18-20, 2022, at the WVU Health Sciences Center.
