WVU School of Nursing Dean Tara Hulsey re-elected as president of state RN board
Tara Hulsey, WVU School of Nursing Dean and E. Jane Martin Endowed Professor, has been re-elected as the president of the West Virginia Board of Examiners for Registered Professional Nurses. Additionally, Teresa Ritchie, coordinator of the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, has been re-elected as secretary of the board. Leslie Perine, a WVU School of Nursing alum and nurse at WVU Medicine United Hospital Center, has also been appointed to serve as a board member.
Student Nurses’ Association hosts sensory activities at the State Fair of West Virginia
Three members of the West Virginia University Student Nurses’ Association attended the State Fair of West Virginia, offering sensory experiences to attendees of all ages.

Free audiology screenings offered to WVU faculty and staff and WVU Medicine employees
The West Virginia University Division of Communication Sciences and Disorders is offering free audiology screenings to all WVU faculty and staff and WVU Medicine employees. The screenings will take place at the WVU Student Health Building, located at 375 Birch Street, from 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, Sept. 2 and Sept. 9.
