Aiding Medicaid: WVU researchers partner with state to evaluate pandemic policy changes
A surge in telehealth usage among Medicaid recipients is one result of the COVID-19 pandemic. Researchers with West Virginia University's Office of Health Affairs are working with state Medicaid officials to find out if continuing those services will help Mountain State residents in the long run.

Monongalia County Health Department has received its first shipment of the JYNNEOS vaccine, which has emergency use authorization (EUA) from the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) to inoculate individuals against monkeypox.

For Dr. Ashley Tasker, an assistant professor with the West Virginia University School of Nursing, addiction studies is a passion. “We’re surrounded by substance use disorder (SUD),” Tasker said. “We have to be part of the solution.”

Samantha Moyers, PhD Candidate in Public Health, is launching a randomized controlled trial exploring the impacts of nature exposure on clinical student stress. Enrollment is open to all Morgantown-based HSC students in clinical degree programs.

Donations being accepted for "Forensics' for Fido" fundraiser
The Forensic Honor Society, Delta Delta Epsilon, is sponsoring a fundraiser for the SAR (Search and Rescue) K9's of West Virginia, an all volunteer group of specially trained individuals and K9's with the mission of locating and reuniting lost/missing persons with their loved ones through the use of basic and advanced search and rescue techniques.
