Sleep disorders expert to present WVU School of Dentistry lectureship
The West Virginia University School of Dentistry will present the annual Mesaros Symposium on Friday, Aug. 22, at Erickson Alumni Center. The half-day continuing education opportunity is open to all dentists, dental hygienists and members of the School of Dentistry community and will be followed by an optional afternoon lunch and learn session.

WVU in the News: West Virginia Junior Nursing Academy inspires future SWV nurses
The WVU School of Nursing Beckley Campus and WVU Tech hosted the southern West Virginia Junior Nursing Academy to rising eighth, ninth and tenth graders. Students visited Raleigh General Hospital and Appalachian Regional Hospital, as well as learned CPR skills, visiting with AirEvac professionals and more. An award ceremony concluded the camp on June 18.
WVU School of Nursing’s DNP Nurse Anesthetist program receives highest level, 10-year accreditation
The WVU School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice Nurse Anesthetist program has received the highest accreditation status available, a total of 10 years, by the Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs.

The West Virginia University School of Pharmacy gave high school students an immersive look at the diverse and dynamic field of pharmacy during its inaugural summer camp, “Around the World of Pharmacy in 8 Hours,” held Friday, June 13, at the WVU Health Sciences Center.
WVU School of Nursing students travel to Honduras as part of a medical mission team
Nurse practitioner students from the WVU School of Nursing recently traveled to Honduras as part of a medical mission team. The students worked with the Carolina Honduras Health Foundation (CHHF), a non-profit organization that provides continuity of care by sending 18 teams a year to Honduras to provide care and provide telehealth services.
