I wake up each day knowing my purpose. I know I am meant to guide our students, faculty, staff and alumni to make our campus community and our state a better place for all. Knowing that purpose provides me with clarity and enthusiasm. And that is why I am so pleased our Purpose Center is helping West Virginia University students use their talents to chart their own paths toward a purposeful life.

Well-being seminar series resumes with discussion on vulnerability, shame
Continuing conversations from the fall semester, the WVU Health Sciences Chancellor’s Office well-being seminar series will resume Tuesday, Feb. 28 at noon via Zoom with a discussion led by Dr. Clay Marsh focusing on vulnerability and shame.
Relay for Life of Mon County and WVU looking for volunteers to help raise money for American Cancer Society
The Relay for Life of Mon County and West Virginia University is looking for community members to create teams and volunteer for its annual event on Friday, April 14, from 6 p.m. – midnight at the WVU Shell Building located at 1501 University Avenue in Morgantown.
WVU School of Medicine plans to launch new respiratory therapy program
Respiratory therapists are in high demand, and the West Virginia University School of Medicine is planning to launch a new respiratory therapy bachelor’s degree program in an effort to not only give students career options but also support and grow critical respiratory services throughout West Virginia and beyond.
