- Identify prevalence of obesity in WV and US
- Describe the spectrum of treatment options for obesity
- Set reasonable expectations for weight loss outcomes
- Recognize effects of weight bias on patients
- Recognize unflattering portrayals in media that drive stigma
- Define implicit bias and describe strategies for overcoming it
- Non-offensively discuss weight with patients using appropriate terminology
- Confidently use “person-first” language
- Counsel patients on evidence-based behavior change strategies to help with adherence to lifestyle modifications
