Internationally known expert joins WVU School of Public Health and Monongalia County Health Department

Public health expert Diane K. Gross, D.V.M., Ph.D., has joined the West Virginia University School of Public Health as an associate professor in the Department of Epidemiology. In addition to her new role within WVU, Gross has also been tapped to serve as the Regional Epidemiologist at the Monongalia County Health Department.

Dr. Tom Hulsey, chair of the Department of Epidemiology, says this collaboration brings unique opportunities to both the School and the Health Department.

“Dr. Gross brings an impressive epidemiologic background working on a wide variety of issues that have application and relevance for our School, the Monongalia County Health Department and the surrounding region,” said Hulsey. “The partnership will provide opportunities for our students to be exposed to real-world challenges currently facing West Virginia.”
