Working for Impact in Science and Health

The Working for Impact in Science and Health (WISH) Committee at the West Virginia University Health Sciences Center is dedicated to fostering professional growth, collaboration, and community engagement.

WISH provides interprofessional development, personal growth opportunities, and networking for faculty, staff, trainees, and community members across health and science disciplines. Through leadership development, mentoring, recognition awards, and outreach initiatives, WISH empowers members to make a lasting impact in their fields and in the broader community.

WISH at the Mon County Fair

The Working for Impact in Science and Health (WISH) Committee was proud to volunteer at the Mon County Fair, connecting with community members and promoting healthy habits. 

Children enjoyed a fun photo booth and learned the proper way to wear their backpacks, while others took advantage of free blood pressure and glucose screenings. It was a wonderful opportunity to give back to our county, and we look forward to continuing this tradition at next year’s fair!
